Getting an airport shuttle from central coast to Sydney takes about 90 minutes on average. However, it is important to remember that the prevailing traffic conditions will have a large impact on your travel times. During peak travel periods, your timeframe will be quite broad – somewhere between 80 and 120 minutes. Off peak, travel times drop substantially to 70-100 minutes from the airport to the coast, and 70-90 minutes in the other direction.
Sydney airport is the largest airport in Australia, so getting around can be daunting for the inexperienced. But there’s nothing to worry about; simply follow the signs and you will find it easy to navigate. The international terminal has an express pick up zone in the P9 car park. Here, you can get 15 minutes free parking. Drop offs are easier still, with the drop off zone marked clearly on the departure level at T1. You can also get disability spaces.
In terms of the domestic terminal, you have even more options. There are two domestic terminals as well, so keep that in mind. The domestic drop off section is located on the departures level at both terminals. For pick ups, you have three options: priority, express and blue emu. Priority is closest, but requires a fee that starts at $4. You will also need an e-Tag to pay this. Express pick up is slightly further from the terminals, but still only 8 minutes’ walk. Blue emu is located offsite, but there is a shuttle bus that services the car park every fifteen minutes or so. All terminals have exceptional facilities, so you can expect to be entertained during transit!
The central coast is located on the Tasman Sea, between Sydney and Lake Macquarie. It is home to the Central Coast Mariners – NSW’s premier A-League soccer team. But its most prominent attraction is the stunning beaches and coastline, including Avoca Beach, as well as the rainforest walking tracks. With an airport shuttle from Hughes, you can arrange to be collected or dropped off anywhere in the central coast region; just let us know!
