Journey: Melbourne Airport to Fitzroy

Melbourne airport is located about 23km northwest of the CBD, which places it some way from Fitzroy. Luckily, though, there’s an absolute abundance of transport on offer to make up the distance. Melbourne airport boasts a variety of public transport services, which operate between the airport and Fitzroy. Those services include buses, trains, trams, and more. Then there’re the private options, which include shuttles, taxis, and rideshare services. However, all have their drawbacks. Whether it’s long waits, indirect service, or uncomfortable journeys, none of those options is able to match the service offered by Hughes. At Hughes, we offer door to door transfers, in a premium or luxury vehicle of your choosing. And the price remains on par with most alternatives, placing luxury service well within your reach.

Melbourne airport has four terminals: Here’s where to go to get to your Fitzroy transfer

Unlike any other airport in Australia, Melbourne’s airport has four terminals. There are terminals 1, 3, and 4, which cater for domestic travellers. Then there’s terminal 2, which caters for international travellers. Accessing the first three terminals is possible via Departure Drive. That road navigates level 2 of the T1, T2, and T3 forecourt, and provides departing passengers with space to be dropped off.

For passengers travelling via Terminal 4, there’s a drop off space accessible through level two of the T4 car park. Arriving passengers can meet their lifts at one of the many waiting areas that service all four terminals. Those areas offer varying lengths of charge-free waiting time, so there’s something for everyone – no matter how early!
