Getting from Broadbeach to Gold Coast Airport

Driving from Broadbeach to Gold Coast Airport can take up to 55 minutes in rush hour, and about 20 minutes less during quiet periods. You can also jump onto a bus if you need to, but expect the journey to take up to an hour and 35 minutes, depending on the time of day you’re travelling.

Gold Coast Airport terminals

There’s a single terminal at Gold Coast Airport that caters for both domestic and international travellers. You can take flights for Jetstar, Air New Zealand, Virgin Australia, Qantas, Scoot, and AirAsia X, providing you with plenty of travel options.

Gold Coast Airport parking and pick-up

Gold Coast Airport has a good selection of parks for an airport of its size, with affordable short and long term options.

  • Premium Covered Parking: this car park is a 30-second walk to the terminal, and the most expensive of the three. It’s suited to hourly stays or a day or less.
  • Short Term Terminal Parking: this is a little cheaper than the premium car park, and only a slightly longer walk to the terminals.
  • Long Term Terminal Parking: if you’re going on holiday for a day or longer, this is the best parking option. It’s only two minutes to walk to the terminal, and you can get discounts if you book early.

Gold Coast Airport facilities

Gold Coast Airport has plenty to do during your stay. You can grab a glass of wine at the Blackstone Bar & Cafe, stock up on duty-free perfume at the Heinemann Tax & Duty Free store, or gobble some sushi at the Saikou Sushi bar. There’s also the standard general stores, a tech store, somewhere to buy sunglasses and baggage storage if you need to secure your luggage.

To save your data, the airport provides free facility-wide Wi-Fi, so you can catch up on your emails without worrying about a big phone bill.

Broadbeach

Broadbeach is a seaside Gold Coast suburb that is home to around 5,500 people. It’s packed with hotels, apartments, and other tourist-friendly spots, and is a favourite for visitors. It’s a lot more family friendly than nearby Surfers Paradise, with classier restaurants and bars, plenty of parks, and even a carousel for the kids to jump on.

Broadbeach is also home to the huge Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, where you can spend hours spending your hard-earned money, as well as the glittering Star Casino where you can do the same. And of course, the beach itself is a gorgeous, sweeping expanse of fine golden sand that stretches for about 25 kilometres along the Gold Coast.
