Brisbane Airport to Southbank: Your Travel Times

As with any capital city, travel times vary according to traffic. Fortunately, these variations are relatively minor in Brisbane. Overall, you can expect to spend around 24 minutes travelling from Brisbane airport to Southbank. During peak hour, this may inflate to 20 – 40 minutes going to Southbank, and 20 – 35 minutes to the airport. Off peak, your travel times are likely to be far less; we anticipate off-peak travel times of 18-24 minutes each way.

Brisbane Airport: What You Need To Know

Brisbane airport two separate passenger terminals i.e. the domestic terminal and the international terminal. Both are configured a little differently, so it is useful to know what to expect. For the international terminal, the pick up point is located on the level 2 arrivals road. Here, you will also find disabled spaces. For drop offs, you can find kerbside spaces on the level 4 departures road.

The domestic terminal has a slightly more straightforward layout, with departures and collections both occurring on the pick-up and drop-off road. This is located out the front of the domestic terminal, and it is quite easy to locate. In terms of facilities, the Brisbane airport doesn’t disappoint! Both terminals are equipped with free Wi-Fi, as well as an abundance of shopping and dining opportunities. For those with longer layovers, there is the Skygate complex nearby.

Southbank: See the Sights

Southbank is located on the banks of the Brisbane River, with a beautiful view of the city directly opposite. It is located in the suburb of South Brisbane and our drivers can collect you from anywhere in the vicinity – just let us know.
