There are few Queensland destinations more iconic than Australia Zoo. It has all the ingredients for a terrific day out, whether you’re with family, friends, or riding solo. Australia Zoo is north of Brisbane, in Beerwah, which places it not far from the airport. But getting there can be a challenge without the right transport. We also operate twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. So if your plane arrives on a weekend, you can still enjoy a day at Australia’s most famous zoo in comfort!

Before you get to Australia Zoo, you will need to get out of Brisbane airport. Don’t worry though, the airport is signed exceptionally well – getting around is very easy. Simply head to the pick up road directly in front of the domestic terminal when you arrive. If you’re arriving internationally, head to the level 2 arrivals road. If you’re leaving internationally, it’s just as easy: go to the level 4 departures road. And for domestic departures, head to the same place you arrived at!
Australia Zoo is on a lot of bucket lists world wide. It is situated on a 100 acre lot, in the Glass House Mountains area of Beerwah. The natural surrounds are just as impressive as those within the zoo, but they do lack the incredible array of exotic animals. In fact, there are over 1,200 species of animal on display at Australia Zoo every day! So it’s well worth the drive from Brisbane airport. In addition to all of the animals on display, you can enjoy one of several live shows that are put on every day. These shows showcase the remarkable habits of some of the Zoo’s most fearsome inhabitants. Seeing them is simple a matter of getting to the zoo at the right time. And with Hughes, timeliness is not a problem. Our drivers will arrange to pick you up and drop you off wherever you choose. That means less leg work, and more time at Australia Zoo.
