Hi,

Normally the server doesn't is accessed on the local machine via a UNIX
domain socket (i.e. not via TCP/IP). In that case it doesn't need to
know anything about IP addresses. If however you need to access the
server from an application on a remote machine then the server usually
listens on all the IP addresses bound to the box.
