Message-Id: <9711261528.AA00810@infodesign.ch> From: Frederic Lejal <flejal@infodesign.ch> Date: Wed, 26 Nov 97 16:28:29 +0100 Subject: mSQL 2.0 bug with "text" fields...Hello !
I have some trouble with text fields in mSQL 2.0. mSQL looses the part
of the text that is over the limit fixed in the table definition. I mean:
1) I have a table with this: FullText text(500);
2) I store a 1000 characters text in this field;
3) Querying mSQL for this field, it only returns me the 500 first characters.
(I am using MsqlPerl to query mSQL)
Sometimes, the lost characters overwrite other records' fields !!
I've just seen on Hughes Technologies Web site that a 2.0.3 version of
mSQL is available, with bug fixes. But I cannot find if the bug I am
reporting in this mail is corrected in the 2.0.3 release ? (HISTORY file of
the doc folder is not really clear about this bug)
Any piece of information about this bug (and it's correction !!) is welcome!
Have a nice day,
