Message-Id: <19971118143817.12203@cp.tn.tudelft.nl> Date: Tue, 18 Nov 1997 14:38:17 +0100 From: Ronald Ligteringen <R.Ligteringen@tn.tudelft.nl> Subject: Strange behaviour of W3-msql/Lite with formsHello,
I'm using one HTML document to retrieve information and another
one to process that information. The data is transported with a form
with the POST method. The receiving document first checks some of the
posted data and then looks some values up in the database. After that
more posted data is read and displayed together with some of the data
from the database.
I've now experienced the following problem:
Some of the posted data gets lost when I make a variable assignment
after my first 'msqlFetchRow':
$result=msqlStoreResult();
$row=msqlFetchRow($result);
$i = 0; <- this is the assignment
Now if I remove the last line, the posted data doesn't get lost!
This is really weird and it looks like some memory allocation problem.
Has somebody else experienced this problem as well? Is this a
well-known problem? If you are interested I can send you the HTML
documents to see if you experience the same problems.
Thanks heaps in advance,
Ronald

Hello All,
Is it OK (or even a good idea) to use mSQL.class 1.2.8 to access both mSQL v. 2.0.3 and mSQL 1.0.16 databases?
Or should I use mSQL.class 1.2.8 to talk to mSQL 2.0.3 and mSQL.class 1.1.3 to talk to mSQL 1.0.16?
It would sure be helpful to me not to have to change the class I was using depending on which database I was talking to.
Thanks!

Hi all, I need some basic Lite functions to add into a library.
I am looking for functions that can determine if a value is numeric, telephone parsing and formatting, etc
Does anyone have these that I can compile into my lite library? Or can anyone instruct me to a guide so I can develop my own?
Thanks, John
