Date: Mon, 10 Nov 1997 11:56:25 +0100 (MET) From: Luca Fini <lfini@arcetri.astro.it> Subject: How much confidence in lite undocumented functions Message-ID: <Pine.LNX.3.95.971110115103.230C-100000@lfini>I've been using w3-msql to set up a library database. I like lite, but I
feel it's lacking some features (what I miss harder is getenv() ...).
I've also noticed that some useful routines are indeed available but not
documented, e.g.: random(), srandom(), getuid(), geteuid(), fatal()
(the latter is even used in some example code ...). Fortunately all these
routines are close mappings of libc routines, so using them is not
difficult.
My question is: How much can I rely on those routines. Will they remain in
future releases?
