We have installed mSQL and have it up and running on a Unix. I have two
questions.
1. The ISP is upgrading from CERN server to Apache. Will this cause us any
problems?
2. Can anyone give us some tips on setting up security access or some
pitfalls to watch out for. The information we are storing is updates by
thousands of clients, then we are giving access to this data to the general
public thru dynamically built pages accessing the mSQL database. The Unix
environment is relatively new to us and we need to ensure that the general
public can only read and not update or delete any of this data. Can we set
up update access capabilities for certain users and read-only access for all
others?
Thanks,
