Message-ID: <34632DB9.D121BC17@gsu.edu> Date: Fri, 07 Nov 1997 10:03:21 -0500 From: "Daniel A. Christenson" <dchristenson@gsu.edu> Subject: Re: system modificationsJohn,
Well, to /etc/services all you need to do is add a new service
(for example: msql20 1114 if on 1114, etc). /etc/services is not
really a necessity. In response to the Msql Server Error, it sounds
like you are using the mSQL Production Release. This release has a
bug in linux platform. Make sure you have version 2.0.3 (the newest
release). In the 2.0.0 version, users could not access the database
but root could.
If you need any other help, please let me know.
Thanks,
Daniel Christenson
