v2 B5 supports money data type. Why don't you upgrade? I know it's a
hassel to have to export and then import back but I think (at least in my
case) it's worth it.
I didn't use the date data type although I'd been waiting for it to come
because I couldn't do the necessary calculations I needed on my date
fields. So I'm using char to store dates. You might have a similar reason.
