Ewan:

B. Scott Burkett has developed a utility.

Follow this link:

http://www.dcicorp.com/~burkebs/projects.html

Description:

msqlexpire

The msqlexpire utility is an age-based row/record expiration utility for
use with the UNIX-based mSQL Database Engine by David J. Hughes. It can
automatically expire (DELETE) records based on age, with optional
e-mail notification of record removal. Our company currently uses this
tool to automatically remove outdated job requirements from our
web-based Career-Retrieval System.
