We had quite a debate about this a while ago if i am not mistaken :)
There is nothing wrong between Solaris and mSQL. they actually love
eachother. Get gcc 2.7.x , PLEASE DO READ the faq's and README's
etc. and all should be ok.
Btw. if ranlib does not exist on Solaris, whats that /usr/ccs/bin/ranlib
that i have ? :)
