Subject: [mSQL] [msql] 2.0-B3 installation problem

Hello,

First, let me say I am an absolute beginner at mSQL. I have tried to install
2.0-B3 and find some problems that are not covered in INSTALL and the FAQ. I
would be grateful if someone could guide me through the process...

Installation goes well until the installation of W3-mSQL. On starting msql2d
& I get the message 'Can't start server: IP Bind: Address already in use'
This looks like a problem treated in the FAQ, but it keeps repeating after
longer periods, even after renewed installation. When I try to leave msql2d
by the command 'msqladmin shutdown' the message is
   mSQL Command failed!
   Server error = Permission denied
   [1] + Exit 1 msql2d

I am on a virtual server running under Unix (BSD_OS-2.1-i386), I have set
the installation directory in site.mm and msql.conf and have set mSQL_User
and Admin_User both to my username. Also did chown etc.
