I figure I might as well chime in here... I use the appropriate tool for the
job. I use Perl CGI programs for things that Perl does well, and PHP CGI
programs for things that PHP does well. Combining the two makes for a very
fast and easy to write system.

I've been writing CGI programs for nearly two years now and I find this
combination to be ideal.
