Message-Id: <32D4D194.4945@ahand.unicamp.br> Date: Thu, 09 Jan 1997 09:08:04 -0200 From: Andre Augusto Cesta <aacesta@ahand.unicamp.br> Subject: [mSQL] CONGRATULATION'SI've been using Msql for three months sucessfully, and all I want to do
in this first email sent to the msql-list is to say "congratulations for
everybody helping the Msql development".
IN WHAT I'VE BEEN USING MSQL(This is 'cos I couldnt use Bambi's form;-):
I'm using the latest non beta release in the
"Brazilian Computers Network Simposium administration".
Researchers are able to fill out forms about papers. They also submit
(eletronically html 3.0 file upload feature) and download papers from
the site. For the scripts I'm using Andreas Koenig Msql Perl lib.
The designations of which researcher has to read which paper are also
in the database. Many pages are protected with passwords I'm using an
WWW server module for this.
ABOUT THE DOCUMENTATION:
It's consise and enough for Msql Installation and Use.
ABOUT THE LIST:
I'm skipping all Msql2.0 bug reports and desperate help messages.
The rest is very usefull.
I think the only important doubt I had was when I changed an .ACL file
and forgot to restart the MsqlDAEMON so it would get to know the .ACL
file changes.
THANKS:
Hope I'm not filling the list with garb.
