From: "Ryan Scott" <rscott@NetCreations.com> Date: Fri, 3 Jan 1997 18:05:18 +0000 Subject: [mSQL] importing from msql 1 database into 2 - not working! Message-Id: <97Jan3.174404-0500_est.1603930-307+8@NetCreations.com>
I'm was previously running msql 1 and now am running 2 on the same
box. I dumped a database from 1 into a text file, and tried to pipe
it into msql 2 the normal way any fool could do it.
I attempted to pipe this same data from the msql 1 dump back into a
different msql 1 database, it worked FINE.
Trying to pipe it into the msql 2 database, I keep getting
ERROR: Error reading table 'users' definition
for each and every line.
I believe its not setting up my users table correctly, possibly
because of some items I had to reconfig with 1 that I can't seem to
locate with 2.
I had to increase the minimum length of the fieldnames, the max
number of fields and a few other things. I can't seem to find where
to do that with msql 2 before compilation.
Does anyone know what file I have to get into to achieve these
reconfigs? Or is that even the problem? I can't tell.
Thanks for any info
