From: Bill Broadley <bill@math.ucdavis.edu> Message-Id: <199609122002.NAA21525@proto.math.ucdavis.edu> Subject: [mSQL] w3-msql-1.0.3 sample problems Date: Thu, 12 Sep 1996 13:02:16 -0700 (PDT)I tried to get: w3-msql-1.0 working, without much luck, the was no
test db supplied, and when I generated one It still wouldn't work.
The msql table command didn't seem to be documented.
The sample form didn't seem to work.
I found w3-msql-1.0.3 which was closer, I got the sample almost
working, looks good, but when I add a record I end up with similiar:
INSERT INTO test VALUES ('Dirk Ohme',25,'07071 703-190')\g
INSERT INTO test VALUES ('Bambi',16,'2-8801')\g
INSERT INTO test VALUES ('<F0><BE>^',5,'<E0><BE>^')\g
INSERT INTO test VALUES ('<F0><BE>^',1,'<E0><BE>^')\g
The age comes across fine, but the name and number don't. I tried
single quotes and double quotes around the answers... Anyone have
a working trivial database with:
sample.html file
sample.src (few trivial fields, few trivial records)
A working insert additional record field.
Any help appreciated. I looked at w3-msql-2.0 manual and it seems
that parts are missing i.e.:
http://Hughes.com.au/product/w3-msql/manual-2/index.htm
BTW msql seems to be working great, already have a 400 record database
up and running...
Any help appreciated...
