I might have something useful to add here. There was a problem with the
HP-UX dynamic loader that shipped with the 9.0x series of the system.
If you cd to /lib and issue a 'what dld.sl' and get this:
dld.sl:
Revision 1.135
SMART_BIND
with the exception that your rev is 1.12 or... (well, generally below
this level) I urge you with all sincerity to talk to HP about getting
a patch (they will know what you are talking about, promise. Or upgrade
to 10.x. There was some problem with the earlier version of thier dynamic
loader, and I have seen this bite more than one user.
