From: "Corrado A. Agusto" <cagusto@netservice.peg.it> Date: Tue, 03 Sep 96 15:26:14 +0100 Subject: [mSQL] ...from scratch Message-Id: <1370358099-9604580@netservice.peg.it>Hi all,
I hope you will excuse me for my poor english, and my deep ignorance, too. :-)
I've installed msql v 1.1.16 for os/2. Once I've started the server, I'm unable to connect with the clients included with the package.
I.e. Every time I run msqlAdm I always get the same message :
Connect: Message file not found.
ERROR : can't connect to MSQL server on localhost (localhost)
I installed it on a p133, 16mb, hpfs, warp connect + fp17.
In config.sys I added these lines :
SET HOSTNAME=localhost
SET USE_HOSTS_FIRST=1
SET USER=CORRADO.
and , of course :
RUN=IFCONFIG.EXE LO 127.0.0.1.
In dir \mptn\etc, in file HOSTS :
127.0.0.1 localhost
Any idea ?
Tks in advance.
