Note that Bambi now lists fees in US dollars (currently $170)
and in UK pounds (115), as well as Australian dollars ($225)
on his license fee page:

There's also a link to a really cool currency converter provided
by Olsen & Associates, so that you can find the price in, say,
Mongolian tugriks (84179) or Mauritanian ouguiya (24202) or...

This came up a few months ago during one of the periods when release
of version 2 was imminent. Bambi was a little vague about it, but
seemed to assure people that there would be a considerable discount
for those with version 1 licenses.
