I think it may only work with some of the big name (and price) DB
servers, but Netscape's Livewire features database interconnectivity
using *compiled* javascript on the server side. It's really pretty
slick, though using PHP/FI (http://www.vex.net/php) probably would be
easier (and cheaper).
